Are you a Teacher Open to becoming an RE Specialist in our Catholic High Schools? The University of
Glasgow is offering courses to enable qualified teachers to gain an Additional Teaching Qualification in
 Religious Education (ATQRE), leading to GTCS 'Professional Recognition' and allowing you to become an
 RE specialist in the Catholic secondary school. Currently our Catholic schools in Scotland are short of
around 50 RE specialists.

Summer Camp: The Diocese of Paisley is offering a summer camp for secondary school pupils in the
present S1 & S2  this summer at Alton Castle near Birmingham. Come along for a 5-day program of
faith-filled fun: Holy Mass, prayer,  games, activities, Alton Towers & SO MUCH MORE! Transport from
 Paisley and back. The trip will be from the 4th to  the 8th August and costs £350.00. Places are limited.

Lenten Station Masses: This is the second year of our Lenten Station Masses where our diocese imitates the
ancient practice of the Church in Rome, where the Pope would celebrate Mass in a different parish church on
 each of the days of Lent. To prepare ourselves for the Celebration of Easter Bishop John will celebrate a
Station Masses with the people in our MATN cluster areas. At each Mass he will used the readings of the
day to preach a short catechetical homily, Walking With Mary, on the spirituality of Lent: on Prayer, Fasting
and Almsgiving, on Simplicity, Chastity and Obedience, and on Reconciliation. Please come along to your
cluster Mass, or maybe your Lenten discipline could be travel with the bishop and attend all of them!

FILM NIGHT Fundraiser HCPT Group 19 Lourdes Easter Pilgrimage. Sister Clare Crocket was killed during an
earthquake in Ecuador. As a youngster her life was heading for spiritual destruction.
Then she opened her life to Jesus, changed her ways and joined the Sisters of the Home of the Mother.
In this 80 mins film she talks about her life in a fitting reflection for Lent and Easter.

Interfaith Scotland is teaming up with the University of St Andrews Coexistence initiative to host an interfaith
youth conference at the University of St Andrews on Saturday 13th April from 11am - 4pm
at the Arts Lecture Theatre, KY16 9AX.
The theme of the conference is ‘What is Justice’,   with interesting speakers including:

Young Scots Pilgrimage to Taize, 7-15 July 2019: Bishop Mark Strange, the Primus of the Scottish Episcopal
Church will be spending the week 7th-14th July 2019 in Taize, with the idea that young people from Scotland
between 18-30yrs may wish to spend that week there too. Taize is an ecumenical monastic community if France
that welcomes thousands of young people each year to spend a week’s retreat with them.
